Sencha Tea Bar has been a part of Minnesota's tea culture since 2002. We opened our first shop in Uptown, Minneapolis as Tea Garden - one of the early homes of bubble tea in the Twin Cities. In 2015 we became Sencha Tea Bar, reflecting our growing devotion to premium, direct-sourced loose leaf tea.

Today we do two things we love. In our tea bars - in Uptown Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Woodbury, and Madison, Wisconsin - we serve handcrafted bubble tea, tea lattes, and freshly brewed loose leaf. And online, we ship the same quality loose leaf tea, matcha, and bubble tea kits to tea lovers across the country, with free U.S. shipping over $49.

We source our teas directly from growers and importers we trust, and we believe great tea should be both exceptional and welcoming. As we like to say: "Just as tea takes the form of the cup it is poured into, Sencha forms a healthy and empowering partnership with each community we join."

As of 2024, Sencha Tea Bar is part of Amplified Experiences, a Twin Cities beverage company formed by the merger of Sencha Tea Bar and Five Watt Coffee.
